Located in the picturesque village of Blevio, two miles from the charming old town of Como and less than one hour drive from the centre of Milan, this luxury Estate is a piece of history: on the 22nd of June, 1769 the Emperor Joseph II of Austria found shelter from a big storm in this very villa and he liked it so much that he remained well after the storm, to enjoy the beauty and serenity of this place. Nestled in the midst of seven acres of luxurious park where exotic and rare plants, some of which were planted by one of the first owners in the IXX century and set at the end of a secured gated driveway, the house has been completely restored and furnished with Italian linens and with antiques from the owner’s own collection. Charm and style meet under frescoed ceilings, whereas windows and balconies open onto lovely lake views.
This is the main property of the Estate, that comprises two separate villas. The house sleeps up to 12-14 people in 7 luxury bedrooms with en suite marble bathroom. Several living areas, including a music room with a grand piano, grant unique moments to relax. This is one of the nicest properties that can be rented on the lake front of Lake Como and comes with a full range of services including chef and host, a memorable seaplane tour and a courtesy 4 seats boat at guest disposal for a romantic trips on the Lake. With the addition of the second, slightly smaller villa, this beautiful Estate can welcome up to 24-26 guests.
If you want to indulge by the “pool with a view”, wish to read your favourite book in the private park, spend time in privacy and luxury, this historical villa will offer you unforgettable moments. And should you also fancy some sport activities, water-ski, kayak, canoeing, tennis and golf just to name a few are easily available for you. Daily trips to St Moritz or Venice, or “shopping missions” to Milan are also possible to make your stay memorable.
